AeGIS Features

AeGIS is a versatile insurance system which provides the ability to define/add, without programming, user-defined values such as customer information, coverage types, class codes, currency codes and many others. The system comprises tightly integrated modules, each of which can cater multi-currency requirements.

The Underwriting
module captures extensive information of each policy along with its history of endorsements and premium billing. It keeps track of interest, peril, coverages, co-insurers, loss payee, reinsurance arrangements, detailed descriptions of each insured item and so forth. The module allows an insurer to market complex multi-peril or multi-class policies. It can handle all classes of business such as fire, motor, marine cargo, construction/engineering all risks, among others.

This module automates the complete process of policy issuance, including printing of policy schedules, endorsement certificates, installments, and debit/credit notes. It support agency billing as well as direct billing to the insured. Premiums of policies covered by proportional reinsurance arrangements will be automatically ceded to the proper treaty or facultative contracts.

The Claims
module keeps track of each loss by claimant. It manages the accident and claimants information and provides a history of all types of paid loss, outstanding loss and claims expenses. It is linked to the reinsurance and underwriting module allowing easy cross reference to the policy and automatic processing of claims recovery.

The Reinsurance
module manages the details of an outward treaty and facultative contracts. It contains the terms and conditions of each reinsurance contract, such as reserves, overriding commission and security, including reinsurers, reinsurance intermediaries, and signed up shares.

All money related data from the above modules are posted to the Finance module. This module processes all accounts related to the insurance business such as premium collection, loss payment, claims expenses, ceded premium, reinsurance recovery etc. It allows cross-currency settlement, partial settlement and several ways of settling debit/credit notes - individually, by correspondents, by currency, and by billing month.
